Has anyone had any experience with any Cataract medicines bought over the internet?
My best friend's 10 year old chihuahua has already had one eye removed due to a cataract and there is another one developing in his good eye.
He also recently was diagnosed with heart disease so this complicates the issue because most likely he won't be able to go under for surgery if that becomes necessary.
She has been looking into some alternative medicines for these problems (I've posted a separate thread about the heart therapy) and the one that seems promising right now is Can-C.

Does anyone have any experience with this or any other cataract medicine?

thank you and love,
Jefferson

I was not aware that an existing cataract would respond to a medicine. I'm sorry I have no experience with that medicine, but I did have a dog with cataracts that eventually blinded him. Because of his advanced age and health concerns, I did not have Max's cataracts removed. But he lived very happily as a blind dog - we just had to make a few adjustments for him. I have a relative whose dog did have the surgery as is doing very well.
Was the eye atrophied in your friend's chihuahua? I was not aware that a vet would remove an eye for a cataract problem.

Good luck with the medicine search, however.

I've never known there was medicine for catract, my old Jack russell Babe got got ctaract, there was laser surgery as an option but it cost £1500 per eye so sadly she went blind.
