If I were any of you reading this thread, do not trust PetMeds or any like website.

Tiffers, not sure what experience you've had, but I've used them for awhile now and all 1800 pet meds has done is saved me money and helped my dog and horse. Also, I live in Southern Illinois and at my age, getting out isn't always easy so having things delivered to the door has always been great.

What concerns do you have? I've always been 110% satisfied with 1800petmeds.

I work in a vet clinic, and we have seen first hand the fake stuff these companies put out and the harm they've caused on some animals for prescribing medications because they didn't have a DVM's permission, just an owner who doesn't know much about the medications. Also, none of their products are guaranteed. Your animal gets worse while on medication or has a reaction to something in the medication...or anything...you're on your own. However, when bought through a vet clinic most companies reimburse or help cover costs of treatment.

Many of the clinics in our area refuse PetMeds and companies like them. Besides, PetMeds and it's competition is not ALWAYS cheaper. There are many times when we beat their prices. And the best part is, buying it from your vet...you know just what yo're getting and you know the dose is calculated correctly. For us, it's not worth the risk.

Well, all I can tell you is that they've always guaranteed everything for me 100%, and when I order prescriptions, they verify with my vet before shipping. Not sure what kind of vet you work with, but mine have no problem with them for either my dog or my horses.
I've always been given a choice between name brand and generics and know that I, along with many others in my area, have been very satisfied with 1800petmeds.
I'm thinking maybe you guys just want to make the profit from your customers which is fine, but on my fixed income, I look to save where I can. And using codes like the one above does save money. Also, they've price matched for me when they have been more expensive so I don't see where the issue of price is.

It's just my experience, but I've always been very happy with everything I've received from them, my horses are in great shape and my dog has been on their prescription meds for over a year. I even consult with my vet and their pharmacists before we change meds for my dog. Telling you, I've got no complaints and would suggest petmeds to anyone.

Tiffer,
Not to get in the middle of this, but if you go to:
http://www.1800petmeds.com/company.jsp

you'll see that they do in fact guarantee everything, offer consultants and pharmacists and price match just as DDSTEW1 said they do.

I've only used them for flea and tick meds so far, but I got them fast and when I ordered the wrong dosage, even though it was my fault, they replaced it with no problem at all in 2 days. And it was much cheaper than my vet or Petco and that was before the code was applied.

I'm a fan.

I'm talking about the companies that make the medications. Sure, these websites will 'guarantee' their product...but the companies that make them do not as most prescriptions must be bought through a veterinarian which means these websites are getting these products illegally. It's not just my boss, as I said before.

If you haven't had a problem yet, then that's great. It's my experience for the last four years, and if I were any of you...I would not use these websites. But, I'm putting my opinion out there as we have seen fake products and have talked to manufacturers who have told us these products are not guaranteed by them because they are acquired illegally. We have also seen the problems caused when owners get the wrong medications from these websites...there is no vet on duty, they never see animal...they toss out prescriptions for the all mighty dollar. But, as I said...if you haven't had a problem, that's really great. But, I'm really sorry when you do.

Tiffers, it's a shame you wish to lump all petmeds websites into the same category. Sure there are some less reputable places to get meds, but this thread is specifically about 1800PetMeds.com. If you have something negative specifically about them then please share as it would be of interest to everyone around here.

I have friends that have used them many times, I have used them too (using another coupon code), and never had an issue. From my experience (and that of many satisfied customers it seems) they seem to be reputable and deliver on exactly what they promise.

I have already said why I don't like PetMeds. We have seen people buying prescriptions from this particular website, and others, and causing all sorts of other problems...some irreversible.

I've said my opinion (as have you all), which is what this forum is for. You all obviously adore PetMeds, and that's quite alright. I, personally, would never use or trust them. I've seen far too many problems come from people who use them and their products, some of which being fraudulent and not guaranteed.

CathBB,
How about starting your own thread instead of using mine to promote your own code? Try to be cool.

OK we all know about 1800petmeds.... With that in mind please remember that Tiffers is a long standing member here at Petlovers and does have our pets health and safety in mind when she offered her opinion.
I feel enough has been said. Let the buyer decide now.
I should mention we have a supporting member who advertizes on our site also and he is worth checking into.
