Hello everyone, i'm new to tha site n got's a few questions bout a hatchling turtle. (It's a red eared slider.) I had found a few eggs at work a a month ago er so. I brought 2 of the eggs home cuz the other 4 were broken with a shovel while a co-worker was diggin a hole... One of the eggs have hatched, i found him hatching out 4 days ago n he was stuck in his egg until today, unfortunately i didn't know to keep him moist which shoulda been obviouse. He couldn't get outa the egg b/c it was too hard. :`( anyway i placed him in a bit of luke-warm water to soak the eggshell n helped get a bit of it off then let him finish the rest. His yoke-sak is fine, still visable. The front of his shell however is bent under tawards his neck and the sides of his shell are bent down a bit, i'm just wondering seeing that he is still soft n forming up if the shell will straighten out in time? Also I'm wondering if there is a wait time for placing him within water? I have a tank n everything ready for him just dun wanna place him in water too soon. I've raised 4 of them before but not this young. If i could get some insight in how to start it would be greatly appreciated. thanxxx

*just got lil guy into the water yesterday evening. I'm not too certain it's a redeared slider though, looks a bit different. Imma post a few new pics of him try n show some of his shell that is kinda bent. I'd love to know if the shell will form up correctly, the top of his shell has 3 dark spikeys that are bent over from the Egg-shell, the front of his shell above his neck is bent tawards his neck, the sides of his shell is bent down. I'm jus worried, n wanna know if his health may still be ok n all. any advice appreciated, thanxx again.
