My cat Casey has acne on his chin. Any ideas how he could have gotten it, and what can be done to get rid of it. Someone said he may have gotten the acne because his water bowl was dirty? Could this be true?

Yes, that could be true, could be his water bowl and or his food bowl. Make sure you keep both very clean. Also if you are using plastic bowls, you may want to switch over to steel or porcelain. You can use a little peroxide on the acne, and that should clear it up.
Stress can also cause a cat to get it, has your cat been stressed lately?
The peroxide should work to clear it up, if not, call your vet, they should be able to give you a cream for it.

Ghost Baby had feline acne on her chin for years. I kept her bowls very clean (I've always had multiple cats & dogs - she was the only one with the problem)
The peroxide will help, but my vet actully had me use the Stridex pads on her as well which did a terrific job of keeping it in check. Some kitties are prone to it and it's usually males - Ghost Baby was an exception to that rule!

Thanks. I use steel water bowls, and no, Casey hasn't really been under any stress, or at least not that I've noticed. I do clean the water bowls. I'll try perocide and see if that works. Thanks for suggestions.
