I found a really neat website of avian vets worldwide. It is a pretty accurate list because it has the names of 2 avian vets I know in my area. Anyway, I tried to add it on the "Links List" page but the link is not working. How do I go back to fix it?
I also added another link called "Vet Talk" ... it's an online veterinary service. You email your question(s) to the vet and you'll get an answer within two weeks. Of course, in an emergency situation, you should always consult a vet in person.

You can probably PM MR. Parrot and tell him what happened. As a moderator I think he can change it for you.

Thank you amanda and Mr. Parrot for fixing the links.
Those are two great links....I was especially excited to see my own avian vet listed under New Jersey in the "Avian Veterinarians worldwide" and found two more in my area to use as back-ups.
The question and answer link was very informative also.
Thanks again.

You're welcome, MrsBirdy. Anything I can do to help other bird owners ....
I remember last year when my female cockatiel was sick (from egg binding) and our normal avian vet was off on vacation, I had to take her to a "regular" vet. Anyway, I'm sure that he had some training on avian care, but I still left his clinic not feeling good about the whole check-up because there were things he didn't do (that I'm sure our regular avian vet would have done).
I posted the link to avian vets worldwide just in case someone needs to locate one in their area.

Did she survive egg binding? If so how did you treat that condition.

JSimko, unfortunately she did not survive. We lost her early this year ... and still miss her terribly to this day. :(
