The hard day of preening/fluffing over she returns to her cage at 7:45 to sleep contentedly:

Look at that fully feathered beauty! She is looking very good. I wish my 'webird' had such a nicely shaped beak. Her tip growth is quick, and she'll break off the tip now and then, leaving it jagged and messy looking.
How long can you usually allow the collar to stay off? I've noticed my Goffin loves to shread paper. A roll of papertowels keeps thewebird entertained for hours, and she'll leave her feathers alone longer.

It seems to vary Becky, sometimes she'll do real well for a long time and others not so long. So we'll be watching. I put this braided shredder type toy in her cage today - should have taken a picture of it before putting it in LOL. Probably by time I go home it will be in little pieces.
You know I always weave paper towel between bars of her cage , have never tried an entire roll, I'll have to do that. She loves to shred tissues!

How cool, I never knew birds played!
Awwww, look at that belly full of feathers, she is sooo pretty! When I worked at the Oasis, they would put the shreddable toys neat the perches they sat at and at belly length or where ever was the spot they chewed on most. Also daily showers, I'm sure you know all this already, you've done everything to help her (:

Diane...how long does it take for a bird to go from dripping wet to nice and dry?

I love that close up head pic.
She looks exactly like my 'lilwebird' except for the eyes. My webird has a devilish glint there most of the time! lol.

In the summer it takes a few hours. She may look dry sooner but if I touch her she is damp.
