Does anyone know where to find an Umbrella Cockatoo. We have been looking for one and have found some, but are not sure if the bird is going to be healthy. I guess we are just looking for a reliable source. Please help!

I believe if you can qualify but not certain becouse of the distance you might be able to adopt oone, I believe they have one from the Utah Critter Sanctuary in Layton, Utah, and or there is also a rescue in Montana, that needs people to adopt our precious winged ones.

check them out

other than that you need to find a breeder most likely.

Hi

I'd like to offer a bit of advice before you purchase an Umbrella Too. I have no idea of your experience with parrots, and large Toos in particular, so bare with me.

Read this site that I have given a link to below. It tells the truth about Umbrella, and Mollucan Cockatoo ownership. It is imperative you educate yourself about these parrots, BEFORE YOU BUY.

http://www.mytoos.com/

If your an experienced parrot person, you'll understand and forgive my impertinence. If your new to parrots. Please read MyToos.com!

Update us on your decision, and of course, if you do get a Too, come and share with us here (we've many parrot lovers here) the wonders, trials, and tribulations of being owned by these awesome parrots.

I do understand where you are coming from and I appreciate your concern as We are bird lovers ourselves. We did find an Umbrella Cockatoo. His name is Peanut and he came in today. 2 months old. Thank you for your help, though. I really do appreciate it.

We are going to get to see a photo, aren't we?

Pretty please?

And congratulations! Too's are the bestest of parrots. But I am biased. :D
