So, we're working on remodeling a house right now. We're moving to an area that has lots of birds and small animals (squirrels, racoons, opossums, badgers, etc. ).

One of the more unusual things is our large population of white squirrels. They are NOT albino - eyes are dark brown. Just white. Same color as polar bears - a slight yellowish tinge that's more visible and obvious in winter.

Anyway, I snapped a couple shots during lunch break, so here you go. :)

I have never seen a white squirrel! Thank you for the photos.

I really miss squirrels. Growing up, we had them all around, all the time. I was surprised that they don't live anywhere near my current location...just tons of little ground squirrels that make holes in fields which, I'm sorry to say, cause the local ranchers to pay kids to shoot them.

OMG I love your pics, they are amazing!!! Those squirrels are so beautiful! I live in Puerto Rico and we don't have squirrels, so I've never seen one in person.

SWEET! When we lived in Stevens Point, there were a couple of squirrels that I would consider "blonde". I have no idea where that comes from. I can't wait to show your pictures to Kyle because squirrels are his fave animal.

Maybe it's a Wisconsin thing?

I've never seen a white squirrel before! We've got black, grey and red here-no white!
