Came home from volleyball...and we have our first hatchling! Hatched at 64 days, and looking creamy like his daddy already

I am sooo stoked! This means that Arcas, our male, did his job...so we will at least have one batch from him. (For those that don't know the saga, he had some breeding issues and had to be rushed to the vet. He may now be infertile...he'll be resting until next spring, when we'll see if he can still breed.

Well, Krystal, let's see...I'm sure glad that someone can get so passionate about geckos! I have an appreciation, but from a distance ;)

Named the baby yet? May I suggest a truly beautiful name-katiem!
LOL! Just Kidding!
What do you do with your hatchlings? I can't remember if you sell them or just keep a large colony?

We've decided to start coding our hatchlings, and waiting until we know the gender to name. I've had too many already that I've named prematurely and their names no long fit...it's very annoying.
We'll most likely be keeping this one. Their colors change a lot until they reach about 8-10 months old. We have a bunch of eggs, only 5 look viable right now, and our 2 ladies are looking like they are going to lay sometime in the next few days :)
I think this year we'll be keeping most of our hatchlings because there's a good chance that Arcas may have permenent damage to his male parts, so these may be his only babies. And he's a very unique gecko, so we'll want to keep his genes movin' along. :) I've already got people who want offspring from him, so we'll see what happens.
