Hi All

I have a question. I am fostering 3 kittens, 2 months old and I am a little concerned about the one.
I noticed today that she seems to have a slightly bloated stomach.
Shes not vomitting and i haven't noticed any loose stools or any worms in the stool.
Shes always been the quiet one of the three and shes eating and playing.

Should i be worried? Looking at her medical records it looks like she was dewormed on the 24th and she is due to go in for her 2nd shots in the next week.

Bloating in the stomach is one of the things that i would jump up and get to a vet asap> it could be a SLEW of things and MOST of the are not good..

Usually you can tell if it is gas if you squeeze gently, you will feel the gas bubbles moving around, or they will actually fart.

i would call the vet as soon as you can get the little kitten in there asap.

I dont mean to scare you, but that is the one thing that kinda scares me.

It could be something serious, or it could also be that this kitty over does it when she eats, meaning she's eating more than she needs to. Kittens often have very fat round bellies. If she is continuing to eat and otherwise a normal kitty, I'd bring it up when you go in for shots in a week, but don't stress too greatly unless she stops eating or has other symptoms of being ill.
