camping 4th of July

We spent our 4th camping, which was a lot of fun. The weather was a bit chilly, so we didn't swim much. The dogs loved it however (minus Tucker who HATES water). We were out on the Petenwell Flowage of the Wisconsin River. There was a huge sandbar where like 50 boats would park and everyone would stand in the water and drink and be merry.

Emmah, bless her heart, was getting tired with all the swimming, so we propped her up on floaties :) She loves to swim, but the water was too high out there for her.

And here's Malcolm. The water was just the right height for him. He's beastly - he's waay big for a Weimeraner. You wouldn't have guessed he is 13 by how much swimming and ball fetching and playing with kids he was doing.

Awww, what a big smile Malcolm has on his face. I bet he had as much fun as the kids or maybe even more. Emmah is a little cutie. Glad you were able to tuck her up on floats so she could join in the fun.

Emma is cuteness personified, and I'd not have guessed Weimeraner, but now that you mentioned it, lol......I see it is so. Looks like a good time you all had.

Is that your skinny body we see Krystal? Ah.......it does remind me of days gone by. You'd never find me in such skimpy clothes these days, but once upon a time....

Is this what is called the dog days of summer?

And chilly sounds great right now. We're 108 during the day!

We were only about 72-74 and breezy all weekend, so cool for us. Should be mid 90's around here, but we haven't even hit above 90 as far as I know. It's been a really cool summer so far, which has been good for our geckos.

Oh that's not my skinny body, it's actually my sister. I've got one of those nice Wisconsin beer guts going on...and I don't even drink beer!
