Hello everyone:

I've been having lost of problems with my kitties because they just won't accept my new baby Sofía, I've done everything to try to make them like her without luck:( Is not that bad with Fuzzy and Lucas, but Princess just can't get along with her, she bites her and tries to scratch her all the time, she keeps hiding and trying to escape for her. I guess Princess is just jealous.

So, I decided to find a home for my baby Sofía, this has been a horrible decision for me because I adore all my kitties and baby Sofía is so loving and adorable. Well, a friend of mine and his wife have been wanting to adopt a cat, so they came and saw Sofía and the fell in love with her, they just recently bought a house and they don't have any kids, so all the attention and love will go to Sofía. They promised they will get her spayed and they are very nice people. So I guess that is the good news. But I feel so sad, I'm going to miss my little baby so much. They are coming to get her tomorrow. I'm devastated, but at least she will be happier there and she will be loved. Is not fair for her to live being attacked all the time, Princess is a sweet kitty, but she just doesn't get along with her.

I've never thought it's fair to keep a cat in a situation like that. It's not just stressful for the newbie but for the one who's so upset about the newbie as well. I think you did the right thing in finding her a good home. I know it doesn't help the hurt of giving her up, but it's best for both her and Princess in the long run.

 I feel for you, I'm in a similar situation, but it's my two dogs who torture my poor kitten. It's bad enough that he's wanting to stay outside and I noticed my Lab has bit into his neck. I'm trying to train them, but I'm afraid of what will happen if I can't. I don't want to give him up, but I think I'll eventualy be forced. Poor guy, the only one who loved and protected him is gone.

Bitter sweet indeed. But it really sounds like it is for the best! I'm sure it was a hard decision

Thanks everyone for the kind words, they really help. This is so hard, I love that baby so much, I tried and tried, but there's no way she will be happy here and I don't want her to get hurts. I just hope she adjusts well to her new home. I will miss her like crazy.

HUGS!

I am sorry you've had to make this hard decision. It is better though then having this little one get hurt and have an anxious life. Just be sure and make it clear with whomever is taking her that if for some reason it doesn't work out with them that they return the kitty to you. This way the kitty doesn't end up in a shelter or something.

Hi :

yes, that is exactly what I told them, that is for some reason they can't have Sofía to please give her back to me, They just came to pick her up, I've been crying like crazy, but I know she will be fine with them, they love her already.
