Cats Skin Condition Advice Needed Please

My cat has what seems like "cradle cap" (as seen in infants) on the back of her neck. It also appears that she maybe losing her hair in that area. What is it?
I have treated it with anti-fungal skin cream, and after a few days I bathed the affected area with salt water and applied Savlon antiseptic cream. The condition does appear to be healing, but I would like to know what caused it.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Could be an allergy...like fleas or something. Where did you get the medications you used? Sometimes, well many times, OTC/human medications on kitties can prove to be most dangerous and even at times fatal.
