We had someone who tried to make us aware of this new law President Bush has put in place. It is worth it's own thread.

We all need to be aware of "Dog fighting businesses and cock fighting businesses, and that as good citizens who love and adore our pets have a responsiblity to report such cruel activities to our athorities to rescue animals trapped by these cruel humans.

so please follow the thread, and lend your support in putting a stop to such cruel activities.

The thread you link does not say that it condemns organized animal fighting. The article you link makes this statement:

The organization's introduction of this article states that they feel that

"With Stroke of a Pen, President Bush Deals Major Blow to Organized Animal Fighting in the United States"

Are you supporting that (Oremba) particular group's stance, that by signing legislation condemning animal fighting, the president has dealt a major blow?

Am I misreading the article? I find that particular group suspect and cannot follow their publication of news articles. What are they supporting?

If you remember, and we must be very patient, the inital posters location says, from Spain and the states, and for that we need to be patient and understanding of people here that are trying to help out with animals they think may be being abused.

I too understand that Oreba is dead set against cock and dog fighting, and that this pen stroke from President Bush signing this law is a great thing,

for that I totally agree.

so I just think sometimes we do need to look at the big picture, and sometimes check a posters location.

I praise this person for trying very hard to make us aware,

I know that many American's simply do not look or read through bills that are being presented to our Representatives and Senators. that may come up for a vote.

Last year about this time, some local yokels, that I strongly suspect who were actually illegal aliens got caught forcing birds to cock fight.

for that I really think whereever and whosever property where this takes place should actually in reallity to discourage the practice "Loose their homes and the home should go up on the auction block.

Hopefully something this stiff other than paying a "small fine," might send these ruthless and cruel people a stronger message that this behavior will not be tolerated. anywhere.

Just a note...and I'll refrain. The poster is in the U.S. (NC or SC, I can't remember which) and has posted very unusual "rants" (for lack of a better term) on YouTube. The "group" (apparently only the one man) is also listed on several sites that were created to expose fraudulent claims. I won't bother to post anymore regarding this particular person.

There are many, legitimate organizations working to create laws that will protect our animals. Those will always receive my support.

LadyLynn, have you followed MasterOfBull threads here? He often makes no sense and rants on and on with completely contradicting statements. Then if you ask him to be more clear he takes offense to it.

I agree that dog and cock fighting should be illegal. Its great that OREBA wants to do something about it. However I truly don't believe that MasterOfBull has any idea about what it is he is talking about.

I know Master O' BUll said somewhere on this forum, not sure where that it takes him/her a bit to understand and is a bit slow, or at least words to that effect, so all I am saying is that we do need to be a bit patient with this poster,

and yes I have tried,on the "Let's take action people thread he/she started to point out that the "language written in many bills that are introduced can be confusing, and yes, we do, here on this forum have an obligation to help Master O' Bull have a better understanding of what he/she is posting because I do agree and strongly that he/she has-is very confused..............

It may sometimes seem we get really carried away in what we are doing, but as a very sweet, and smart library directer told us in a staff meeting one day,

Nice matters. She felt it so strongly she has that in a little statuet that sits on the edge of her desk, but I'm adding one more thing to that short sweet and well meant statement.

"nice really does matter."

so lets do our best to please be a little nicer and a little kinder when it comes to our posts on the forum, and quick to apologize if for some reason we do indeed find ourselves in the wrong.

In regards to Master O' Bull, I believe the posts that were made were well intended, and I'm glad he was trying to make us "aware," and regards to the location of this person, the South or North Carolina may be, but one post he made also said and I noted it, "Spain and the United States."

remember people all over the world may be coming here to join in, may not understand English as well as we think. We in the States can be forgetful and unforgiving, and that is not something we should do.

Lets be more welcoming, and personable because please it is important.

I would like however for a new Oreba threaad to be made, more geared to their web site, and their organization, or change this being a little better to each other to their focus and cause so if we feel it is necessary we can pitch in and get involved and make this world a little better for our animals.

LadyLynn, no one is not being "nice" to MasterOfBull. It is so annoying to have someone start on about being "nicer" to someone when nothing mean is being said. He makes a statement, is asked to be more clear about what it is he's saying, and then responds that we are idiots that don't know about our own rights? If anything MasterOfBull should be apologizing to us, the people who read his threads and try to understand them, and then get called "idiots" for asking questions.

I also sometimes have a hard time understanding your posts LadyLynn, but if I ask you to clear something up because I can't understand you do. And you don't call me an idiot for it. So he should be able to?

I truly do believe he is trying to do something good, but I also think he doesn't look before he leaps. It makes him sound like he has no idea about what he's talking about, and makes him seem irrational, regardless of whether or not he speaks English well.

What are you talking about? Real people do real things a lot of these Animal Rights people are doing wrong things to people. They are hurting and Killing Dogs because they don't know how to re train them. Like when they so call Bust dog fighting morons they kill the dogs because they don't know and don't have man power to train them and find good homes for them. A lot of these morons Animal Right like to setting up good dog people in trapments. It really need to stop. Also Racial profile need to stop also.
