i suggest you research first about rabbits so you can take good care of them. at least know some basic information that can help you taking care of them.
Please look at the different websites before getting the rabbit. Ask why they are surrendering the rabbit too. Interact with the rabbit before you decide to take him/her. Not all rabbits are cuddly. Some would prefer not to be handled or cuddled. Keep us posted on what you decide. lbee

Absolutely, if you are getting an adult rescue see if you can spend some time with it before you decide. I have a rescue female that was nearly full grown when I got her, and she absolutely does not like being held, when I reach in to pet her, she cringes and acts like she's waiting for the axe to fall!
However, if you do a google search for rabbit supplies, you will get a really good list of suppliers. You can also do a yahoo local search for suppliers in your area.
They aren't really the best priced supplies, but Petsmart and Petco both have guinea pig/rabbit cages that would work for a starter cage. If you are planning on the rabbit being a house pet, then you don't need a huge fancy cage, as I would think you'll want the rabbit to have lots of companion time with you outside the cage.

I thought on another thread, your brother had a rabbit that was having babies. You don't want one of them for yourself?
