Hi my name is Nancy and I found a kitty a couple of weeks ago and she is about 6 weeks old. I am bottle feeding her formula. She seems to be hungry all the time and now she is having diareaha everywhere. Her little bottom is swollen and red. She doesnt seem as energetic as she was a week ago.. I tried to put a cold cloth on her bottom hoping it would sooth her but she lets out cries. Any suggestion would be great. Thanks Nancy :)

The best thing i can recommend is to take the kitten to the vet...it needs its shots and to be examend...The vet will know what to do best

Thats what I decided to do, after going through all of this with her I would just die if anything happened to her. Thanks

Is it kitten milk replacer you are feeding her or baby formula? If it's a cows milk based formula that could cause the diarreah. By about six weeks she should be able to eat some solid foods too, soft kitten food might be a cure for her constantly being hungry.
I agree that she needs to see a vet soon, if she was living on her own or born to a wild mama she almost certainly has parasites which could cause the diarreah and hunger.
By taking her in you almost certainly saved her life :D, and those stray or abandoned kittens seem to make the most loving pets.

Welcome to petlovers! Hurray for you for rescuing the little baby.
I agree that 6 weeks is old enough to be on kitten food, and might help with the diahrrea once she gets used to it.
For future refernce it is better to use warmth, rather than cold any time you are compressing on a cat for any reason. A cat's temp is around 101.5 or 102, so if it feels slighty warm to you, that should be right for kitty.
Please do come back and let us know how the vet visit went and tell us more about your new baby family member.

Well I found her on my bed pretty lifeless and I rushed her to the hospital and to find out she was very dehydrated. The kitties supplement milk was not enough for her so the iv fed her and her temp was down to 97 and they got her stable enough for me to take her home. She is actually 5 weeks and she seems to be doing quite well right now, Thank you God!!! I have her on soft food with plenty of nurishment and as much water as she will drink. Her bottom will get better in time, not really bothering her at the moment. I am just happy she is still with me!!!
