I love box turtles. I had a few of them years ago. I was amazed at how much personality they have. I had one they would untie my shoes every chance he got.

I don't have a clue. My husband got him from a nurse he works with who got him from someone else. All their kids "got tired of him" :mad: How can you tire of an animal is beyond me! But he's safe and happy here for the last 3 yrs or so :)

People think I'm nuts for saying he has personality but you are so right! He is the coolest lil dude! He doesn't untie shoes, lol, but he's still cool :cool:

I'll never understand why people insist on believing that only cats and dogs can have personalities! Bob looks like a real gem, I bet he's lots of fun to have around. How big are box turtles? I don't think I've ever seen one

Bob is about 14 or 15 ounces. I'd say he is about 7 inces long. I'm not sure how big they can get
