Peppers is the Red Lored Amazon that I will be adopting in the near future. I finally remembered to take my camera out there his time. Here he is. . . .

Peppers is beautiful and I love his coloring. Thanks for the pictures. It was nice to get to meet him in cyber person.

My, Pepper is good looking!
When you know Pepper well enough (to not get bit) stick you nose in his chest feathers, and take a deep breath. Amazons have their own special smell. It is reminiscent of a musk. I love to sniff my Zon, when he'll allow it...:rolleyes:

Thanks, those pictures show him pretty well I guess but I am going to take the old regular camera out there today. . . There are so many colors on him that my digital camera can't seem to catch. His head actually has some purple in there too. I'm thinking the old SLR might get better pictures. They've had the same problem with getting pictures of their others for their website so I'm going to take a bunch and have them put on a cd in case they turn out really well.

He already is tons of fun! Last night I was out there cleaning out cages and he spent the entire night either riding on me or sitting on the nearest perch watching me. He's a jealous bird though. . . he isn't too happy when I'm not by him and one of the other birds wants attention.

Haha, I love that smell!!! I actually noticed it the second time I was there I guess, when he decided to get all cuddly and stop the eye pinning so I wasn't scared of him, lol. He lets me kiss him too. I guess that's sort of weird for not knowing me too long?

And that smell Becky is talking about....I know exactly what you mean, my Pepper has that smell too and I love it! Hmmm wonder if a person could make a perfume like that.......naaaaaaaah never mind.... the other birds might not like it. hahahahahaha
