I have two English Angoras, Henri and Lilly. Most people have never really seen one so I figured I would share a few pictures with you guys.
The first one is Lilly and the second is Henri.

These are so incredibly cute and adorable. Are they a lot of work to take care of with that fur?

They are definately not low maintenance bunnies. I have to brush them at least every other day so that they won't get matted. For the most part, they are very laid back rabbits though and they like to follow me around the house like little puppy dogs : )

I had a pair of slippers that looked just like that!;)
They are cute, I'm also wondering about the amount of grooming needed?

So cute! They do look like slippers, or stuffed toys. I don't think I'd have the patience to groom such coats. Even my medium coat kitty goes to the groomer, when she needs coat care.

They are adorable and I have to agree - look like a pair of slippers! LOL Thanks so much for sharing their pics with us - I had never heard of such rabbits.
LOL! Except for the ears those faces remind me of Sam the sheepdog from the old Wylie Coyote cartoons. They sure are cute!

Lol, not only do they look like slippers, one of Lilly's favorite things to do is flop down on my feet so sometimes I have real live bunny slippers!
I had Henri outside the other day on his harness and a woman was walking down the street and asked me what kind of dog he was! When I quit laughing, I had to tell her he is in fact a rabbit but that;s ok because she wasn't the first person to ask me that.

No problem. . . Now that I'm at home and I can actually get to my photobucket, here are some more pictures of them.

Lilly. . . Both of the bunnies have gotten haircuts since the pics that I posted earlier. Henri because he was moulting pretty bad and Lilly because she just got here and she was mistreated before she got here and was basically all on big matte so I had to cut most of her hair.

Lilly and Henri, this is as close as they can get right now because Henri got neutered just recently and she is not yet spayed so he could still get her pregnant.

That's Henri after his haircut.

Probably because they are so high maintenance. Honestly I think that I am happy that more people don't know about them simply because I know a lot of people would run out and snatch one up purely for the cute factor without knowing what they were getting themselves into. IMO English angoras are the most high maintenance breed in the bunny world and I don't really think most people would disagree with me. The French angoras that don't have a fluffy face are a little bit less high maintenance because their wool isn't as soft so it doesn't matte as easily.
My little Lilly is only two years old yet I am her fifth and final home. She was passed around so much, I suspect, because no one knew how to care for her. When I got her right after Easter, she was pretty much one big matte and she was so skinny that it made me cry when I felt her ribs for the first time.
