...we're getting somewhere, at least I think. It's hard for me to say because I look at her all day everyday. What do you all think about her nose getting better?

It is more raw...I think because she removes the scab daily. I don't mind that much, the scab keeps the infection closed up inside.

She grooms more now, like she feels better. Like the antibiotics are doing something at least.

She's also more social now, she must have been feeling pretty crummy. She had stopped coming to greet me for a while, and I was pleased when I went outside to medicate her this morning...she came running up.

Even though it nearly killed her, she still loves her peanut butter. She gets much smaller quantities now and only with her medication. She won't take her medicine in anything else...believe me, we've tried.

So, here she is getting her morning meds...

If I pull my fingere away before she's thoroughly inspected it, she gets upset and chases it down...

...then, she's thirsty. Of course. Now, I always make sure she has water available afterwards...

...and later in the day, I took her out in the yard to run around...err, excuse me...chase me down and climb up my leg.

She looks strong...a good look for her! I agree, if she's willing to touch & clean that nose of her's, then she's probably not hurting as much.

But, there're still those, um, eyes...:)

Her nose doesn't look any better to me, but I see her eyelid is better. Has it been healed for awhile now, or am I not paying enuff attention?

I'll have to find the pictures from the first day I got her...I think she looks WAY better. :D

I remember the pictures from her first days...I think she looks much better! Though without the scab being able to heal it will always look "raw" but I'm sure it's healing ok.

Cool Whip is so pretty... I hope her nose gets better! She reminds me so much of this rat I had senior year of high school. I typed out a long reply involving her but it's really long and I think it's cluttering your portrait thread so I think I'm moving it to the animal rights thread... it's about an ex-lab rat I once owned. Anyway you have such a beautiful little girl there- she's lucky to have you for a mom <3
