Poco isn't even 5 pounds! She's stinkin' adorable! She's a 7 year old Chihuahua/Maltese Mix.

Oh....do you numb that area or give them something because I thought something was going on because of the green tag on her leg and the needles? Are those needles????? lol

You have to completely sedate them. A dental cleaning is done under anesthesia. The green bandage is where her IV catheter is. The syringes next to her are her Preanesthetic, Antibiotic, Pain Medication, and IV Flush.

Egads...just like surgery. I figured there was an IV there where the green was but had no idea cleaning teeth was so tedious. YIKEEEES

I just love Maltese! Their little faces are soooooo cute. Especially when they get older and can't keep their tongue in their mouth anymore! That is so comical, then.
