I'm a little worried, my puppy who is 4 months old, and has been with us for about 2 weeks is having some soft poo issues.

We took him to the vet, and he said his intestines feel "ropy" and put him on some anti-biotics which we are giving him, and gave us some Hills I/D wet food. We have been mixing it with the ProPac dry puppy food (which is what we were feeding him all along)

He also seems to eat very little, like 1/2 cup a day, which worries me. I KNOW dogs WILL eat when they are hungry, but i had having him not eat at ALL until 6pm at night even though his food is there.

He is also teething, do you think that has to do with his diarrhea? I know it could have to do with him not wanting to eat (so we added warm water to the hard food).

He tested negative for any bacterias AKA no giardia ect..

I'm not sure what to do.. i KNOW he should be eating more, he's came to us skinny and hasn't added much weight..

...vomiting? What color is his poop? Is there any substance to it? How many boosters of vaccines has he had? Has he had any?

there no vomitting, but some coughing that is non-productive though.. that is also supposed be helped by the anti-biotics.

The poo looks like Soft Serve ice cream.. don't mean to get graphic, but its the best description.. so yes, there is def. substance, but its really soft..

He had all of his shots on Feb. 15th and a booster just last week, but i can't remember which one. He got all his shots and neutered the day before we brought him home on the 16th (i believe)

Can shots really make his poo softer?

My hubby and i just read about pig's ears and how they are extremely fatty and can cause stomach distress.. do you think it could be because we were giving him pig's ears.. We didn't know, and JUST read about them and found out.. he finished his last one tonight.. now no more..

Vaccines generally don't cause gastric upsets, I was asking about vaccines because of Parvo and other diseases he may or may not have been vaccinated for. Pig ears can certainly be the culprit, a lot of dogs cannot handle them. You mentioned antibiotics? ...those are probably, more than likely, the culprit. Antibiotics are perfect for causing diarrhea.
