Our 2 Year Old Yellow Lab Was Playing Outside With One Of The Neighborhood Dogs This Morning. After They Calmed Down She Started Acting Like She Was Going To Throw Up, But Instead She Gagged And Hacked Up Yellow Mucous. This Went On For About 15 Minutes Until She Went Inside And Layed Down. She Has Been Laying Down Ever Since. She Still Is Eating And Drinking Normally, But Her Nose Is Dry And Warm. Could This Be A Cold Or Maybe Something More Serious? I Have Read Up On Kennel Cough And It Does Not Sound Like It's The Same Thing. She Is Up To Date On All Shots Until June. Also, We Adopted A Cat About A Month Ago Who Has Been Sick With Parasites And Diarrhea. Can Cats And Dogs Transfer Illnesses? Please, Any Advice You Could Give Would Be Greatly Appreciated. God Bless.

I'm pretty sure there are some illnesses that can be transfered between dogs and cats... I would take her to the vet if she doesn't get better soon just to be on the safe side. Good luck.

There are illnesses that can be transfered form the two. Like Squawksx3 said if she doesn't improve take her to the vet, and if it is nothing you can get her shots a little early and hit two birds with one stone...(no pun intended) so you can feel better knowing she is alright. What is wrong with your new kitty?
