So yes, if you haven't read my self-introductory post, I do in fact have a dog suffering from chronic diahrrea AND a dog who is undergoing heartworm treatment. Great.
Misha, who is scheduled for her second intramuscular injection next weekend, seems to have been doing extremely well with the heartworm treatment. Very little coughing and only one minor episode of bloody vomit. However I just noticed that on the initial injection site a large lump has formed. It doesn't seem to cause her any pain, as I touched it and inspected it for a while. I did some research and it seems like it could possibly be a clot. Anyone had a similar experience with this side-effect from heartworm treatment? My only concern is that it has been almost 4 weeks since her first injection, so why would a lump form this late in the treatment?
