JoJo, our blue fronted amazon, was a rescue and he graced our lives for only about 16 months. In that time he touched our hearts and had a very special place in my heart. Very early this morning he had a sort of seisure and passed away. My tears are falling again as I write this, but I am sure the beautiful rainbow we saw just a short time afterward was a sign he is ok and flying at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for the time we will see each other again. He was the most wonderful bird and I thank God for the time I did have with him, but my in my heart/mind I wondered why it had to end so soon. RIP JoJo.

Diane, I was shocked to read Jojo passed. It was just the other day we were all admiring this beautiful Amazon.

I am so sorry this had to happen to you. I know only time heals loss, but would like you to know you have my understanding of how great a loss you've had.

I'm glad your treasuring your time with him, and hopefully not despairing to much. Only God knows why he calls some home to him so soon.

I have just heard back from the vet and JoJo had arterial schleroisis (hardening of the arteries) and there was nothing we could have done to reverse the disease. It was probably due to bad diet throughout his life. So, vet wanted us to know it was nothing we did, or something we didn't pick up.

Diane.....I just do not know where to begin:( . I am privileged to have been with you and JoJo from the beginning and know how much love he put in your life. JoJo was a special addition to your family and he was very lucky to have led the last year and a half (approx.) of his life knowing how special he was and how happy he made you all feel:) .

I am sure the rainbow you saw was a most definate sign that all was well with JoJo and he was in a fun filled place with all the other animals who got there before him.

Diane, I know JoJo will always be in your heart and knowing what happened and there was nothing you could have done had you known has had to help soften the blow.

I give the most sincere sympathy and love that I have to offer. May God be with you as you make the transition of life without him.
Good bye JoJo ....... you will be missed.:(

(((((((((((( Hugs to you Diane )))))))))))))

Oh, I'm so sorry. I've never had a bird, and I couldn't imagine myself with a bird...but, I do think that the bondings are the same if not more. Find some peace in knowing he's up there at Rainbow Bridge flying around and waiting at the gates before going in without you.

Oh Diane: I'm so sorry for your loss. It seems as if it were only yesterday as Becky said we were admiring him and how much you enjoyed spoiling him.
I'm sure as we all pray that JoJo prays for you, and watches from heaven to.
May he be at peace now that he's crossed the rainbow bridge.

Bless you, and may you find the peace that you need to

we will keep you and all of your family in our prayers.

I know that awful feeling of losing a pet. They are like our family. He's lucky to have spent that last 16 months of his life with someone that cared about him so much. I'm so sorry about your loss Diane. :(

most birds want, especially the rescues and there are far too many of them someone to love and care about them. People fail to realize their worth is more than silver and gold, pocket change. I wouldn't want to go to heaven knowing there weren't any birds there.

I know JoJo will watchover Diane and her family.

May God always bless and watchover them.

Diane, I bet the 16 months Jojo lived with you were the best of his life.

I am sorry for your loss, he was a gorgeous bird, and I bet a great friend.

I know that JoJo had the best moments of his life with you. Since coming to live with you he has enjoyed a better life, better food and most importantly, love. You gave him what he needed the most. I'm sure he is in heaven flying freely and watching over you. Someday he will meet you at the rainbow bridge. {{{Hugs}}} and prayers to you during this time.

I am so very sorry for your loss.

Diane, you and JoJo are in the Furry Crew's thoughts during this tough time in your life when you lost someone very special to you. We've all been there so never believe that you are alone in your time of grief. We share this pain with you.

Best wishes.
