My dog, Rowdy, got hurt on Saturday night, explained in this (http://forums.petlovers.com/vb/showthread.php?t=30087) thread. The dog was taken to the vet today, and it looks like he tore a ligament D:
The only way to fix this is surgery, and it varies from $1000 to $1400 if done at the vet, $2000 minimum done at any other place. Calls were sent out to attempt to get Dog Insurance, but since Rowdy's problem is pre-existent, the insurance companies can't do a thing.
The vet gave chewable medicine for the dog, so he won't be in pain, but he will still probably limp, holding his leg up. The vet too said that the leg that the dog puts pressure on could also tear a ligament if surgery is not performed.
So, I am here to ask all the possibilities of what could happen, other than his pressure leg tearing a ligament if surgery is not performed. We are giving him the proper medication needed, but could his leg still give out?

After all, my family doesn't have any money right now, and I hate seeing my mother and sister cry. I am not asking for donations, I am just asking for any help ANY of you are willing to provide.
