The month of February has, for some time, been dubbed Dental Month for our furry friends. A lot of vet clinics are doing specials on dentals and like services, so give your's a call see what the deals are and have your pet's teeth examined by someone who really knows what they're looking for. laque and tartar are not the only things that indicate bad teeth. Some teeth can be perfectly white but still have a decaying root, or a lesion of some sort, or maybe even a mass growing on the gum line, or even deciduous teeth. If needed, have their mouth repaired or simply cleaned to prevent what could turn into future problems.

Periodontal Disease is one of the top prevalent diseases in dogs and cats. The mouth has a direct port to every single organ in your pet's body. Bad teeth can lead to heart, lung, kidney, liver, and all sorts of other problems; some of these problems being potentially fatal.

(I'm posting this in the dog and cat forums so that those who solely stick to those will see it.)
