My Great Dane Hasn't Eaten In 2 Days (and Normally Lives For Meals). He Won't Eat Treats Or His Regular Food. He Has Been Just Laying Around On My Bed. He Doesn't Seem To Have Any Other Symptoms (like A Gurgling Stomach, Fever, Runny Nose, Lumps). Any Ideas...... :(

Have you called your vet? I would do so immediately. You don't want to take a chance that he has bloat. Large breeds are prone to this and it can be a killer.

Hi LEXER and welcome :)
Hows your Dane doing?. I also would take him to the vet for a check up if he doesn't get better very soon... like macassie said, large, deep chested dogs are known for bloat(stomach turns upside down).. and can be fatal quickly... if this happens, they need surgery ASAP. Bloat happens when they are fed large meals.. they must be fed small meals 2 to 3 times a day. Good luck and please keep us updated.

Thanks for the concern. I am aware of the bloat and he did get that (slightly) as a pup.... I had made an appt before I posted the message, but I called and cancelled because he started eating the next morning. It was a virus - I heard of some other dogs who had it. He may have lost a little weight, but IT IS ALL BACK! ;)
