Help!! Please!
I have a 1 year old male nutered cat (Axel). He is very sweet and lovable. The only problem I have had with him over the last year was his trying to go outside constantly. I have used the tactics of a ninja when entering and exiting my home. When he did sneak out by practically jumping over my head he would poke around outside and I would get him back in by saying "Axel want to eat?".

We just moved to a new place a few days ago. Last night he ran away. He jumped out the door and took off. I could not find him and I did not hear him. I was worried sick all day. When walking my dog tonight I saw him laying in some leaves. I called him. He just stared at us. My dog started wimpering and Axel darted away. I went back alone to see him and used my do you want to eat trick. He walked away and rubbed his head on a nearby tire. He did not appear hurt.

Is it possible that he decided that he wants to live outside? I think some neighbors feed their cats outside. This is all so strange to me---- it seemed clear that he was not interested in coming home. Do cats choose another home?
I am heartbroken. I am sorry for this long first post :(
Thank you for your advice.

Code you have a real proplem there.Actually you should be the one to determine if you want your cat outside or not.Animals like humans has different personalities. Some don't want outside and are very happy inside. It sounds like your cat is pretty set on being outside and maybe the answer is to get one that wants to be inside. If you do get your cat back and want it inside your going to have to watch him close so he don't get out.GOOD LUCK
