...well, Fettucini is still homeless. :[ Poor girl, all her brothers and sisters have been adopted, as have all the other kittens that have come through the door since. She is sooooo lonely. One of the kennel girl's said she'd take her, but I'm not sure if that's going to work out. There's been a few stories floating around, and someone just needs to bring it up.
Anywho, here she was back then...as you all remember her:

Here she is now, remembering her Surrogate Mama (which happens to be the only dog she likes, you gotta love Chica).

She's soooo lovey, too. She just wants to be held and be in the company of other's. I'm surprised, because when she was little...she was always the one I couldn't find. The one who'd run off by herself and not really play with the other's, and now it seems that all she wants is company.

Doesn't Catillac need a good buddy?;)
Kidding, kidding, she doesn't like other cats right?

:] She'd probably like her after time, but in the living situation I'm in now...the two inside kids I have are too many. (Charles' father is extremely sick, and animal dander and hair don't help him any.) That's why the rats have their own little room off the garage.
Fettucini is sooo sweet though. The kennel girl took her home this morning. I think that even if the only thing she does (not saying it is, by any means) is feed and pet the kitty, it's better than living in a wire cage all it's life. :[

The kennel girl better be good to her or I'm personally coming to Texas to open a can of woop a**! Fettucini is simply precious!

lol, Vicki!
...well, the Kennel girl's daddy gave her a flat no that it could stay, but she is allowed to take the kitten home each night and on her day's off so that she doesn't have to stay in a cage all the time.

Sounds like a step in the right direction to me! Now all that little kitty needs to do is turn on the charm and she'll have a permanent home in no time! (maybe ;) )

Ugh. Why do we always have so much trouble adopting out the black ones?
The rescue I foster for . . . for several months out of the year (closer to Halloween) we down-charge for black cats, cause they have such a harder time getting adopted. So sad. They're always the sweetest ones too.

We NEVER adopt kitties out during October, for ANY reason. Simply because in our area, cats are generally tortured or sacrificed.
It's weird that you down-charge for them...but, I guess that's okay in some areas.

I'd adopt Fettuccini if I lived closer!
I have been thinking about offering up a foster home for cats and kittens. We love our kitties!

I love to foster babies, not really adult animals...but, I take any orphaned babies under 8 weeks. It is such a rewarding and heart wrenching experience all at the same time.

I know ...
I've done personal rescues of cats twice. The big difference being all of their care was paid for by me, not a shelter and I had to rehome them myself. I didn't get any help.
It's really hard on you, but you know you're doing the right thing in the long run.

I was just thinking that. It's so bloody hard to adopt out black cats, and she is the only all black one in the litter. I wonder if people are still supersticious about black cats and all that rot? Personally they are my favorite-nothing better than a black cat!
Where I used to work we would stop adopting two weeks before Halloween both cats and dogs. The first year I was there I thought it was ridiculous, but then I noticed the influx of people looking for black animals in October!

wow.. I NEVER thought of the whole No adopting out balck cats on halloween. I can not believe people are SOO mean to possibly torture a black cat just because it is black.. I REALLY hate people!!
She is such a BEAUTIFUL kitty, and i know someone who is looking for a cat, but they are all the way here in CT..
Have you heard about the truck drivers that take pets from one state to another to get them adopted out quicker?? The get the animal used to the truck and being in a car, and then they drive them with them across country and its win win.. they have a driving companion (all of the drivers in this program are animal lovers) and the animal gets a good, forever home quicker...

No, Lindsay...I've not heard of that. But, it is interesting. :) She does actually have a home, the kennel tech took her home and her name is now Summer. :)

So the dad changed his mind? That's cool.
