A Rattie Story

First off, if you're curious abou Cool Whip's face, you'll need to read this THREAD (http://forums.petlovers.com/vb/showthread.php?p=238428#post238428).

For the past few days, I've kept Chipotle and Cool Whip in their original cages. I've also switched some of the housing out, so that Chipotle has something of Cool Whip's and vice versa. The cages are side by side so they can 'talk' and still be protected should something get rough. I'm also keeping them seperated, as I'm usure of what's going on with Cool Whip. If it's airborne, then Chipotle will probably get it sad to say.

Anywho...on with the story! :]

This morning, I woke Chipotle from her nap.

I gave them their breakfast.

I told Chipotle that we needed to 'talk', and to the door she came with two big ears.

I also called on Cool Whip, and told them both they were about to make a new friend...at least I hoped.

Chipotle bolted down to the lowest level and went straight to her house. 'A new friend?!" She squeaked nervously.

She then poked her head out the top, 'Where?!', and she poked it back in.

I took Cool Whip out and held her in my hand.

Then, I held my hand up for Chipotle smell saying, 'Right here.'

Cool Whip found Chica, and they immediately liked each other.

And then, I let Chipotle and Cool Whip meet face to face.

They seemed to like each other, and as I put Cool Whip back in her cage...Chipotle seemed to want to play a bit longer, by saying 'Wait, come back!'

So, I'm pretty sure they'll get along, and hopefully Chipotle will help ease Cool Whip's recent loss of her sister, and Cool Whip will help Chipotle ease up on the unfriendliness.

Thanks, again. I use a Samsung S500. It was a pretty cheap camera, but it's my second one of the same type, I love it! It takes really, really great pictures, especially when it comes to the Microscope and Radiograhps.

You know, I have never been much of a rodent person but Chipotle has started to grow on me. And anything with a name like Cool Whip has to good. So for the first time ever, cute rats!;)

I haven't been giving the drops, I think that's the problem. I'd put the drops on, and she'd start grooming like crazy...thus causing more trauma than good. So, we'll see. I'm still giving her the antibiotics. An eighth of a tablet...my goodness, I've lost more eighths of a tablet than I've given! They're sooo small. :]

You know, you're not the only person who said that! I remember when we went to buy Chipotle, we were bringing her home and me and the doctor's couldn't think of a name but we knew it had to be a 'C' because of Catillac and Chica. So, when these two were signed over to me, one of the doctor's said, '...at least they start with 'C's'!' :]
