I wish I knew how to do so, or I'd have my 5 birds pictures posted, but it is also very late here, and may try in the morning, but I hope everybody who has birds will love to show off theirs.
Let's have fun sharing our feathered charges.
May they forever fly.............

Chaos may look loving and protective....but, it is a misleading photo.
I never allow him near my two smaller birds. He becomes territorial and would knock them off of where ever they were.
That photo is a photoshop art I made of the three.

I wondered how you got them to all be together like that without hurting the smaller birds. Kind of suspected it was photoshop - thanks for confirming that. LOL

Anna Bird & Mz. Twiggy are two very beautiful Nanday Conures, the infamous Blackhooded parakeets is my understanding.
These birds were thrown away by previous owners. Mz. Twiggy was abused with a squirt bottle and is a chronic feather plucker. She requires constant care to deal with her plucking issues.
Nanday's are known to have extremely loud crowing sessions, and can rattle your nerves at any given time, but generally don't when they are happy and comfortable.
These two have lived with me 7 years, and we're working on 8.

Thanks. :) I am glad you are enjoying them. So am I. :)
My babies!
Oliver, the oldest. He's going to be.. 5 already in February! I've had him since he weaned. He thinks I'm his mate.

http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj231/whiteflight0/new067.jpg
Evie (Evelyn), the baby. She's a momma's girl, not even a year old. Never fledged by her breeder, I think, she's fully flighted now but is a horrible flyer and just clings to me.
http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj231/whiteflight0/new066.jpg
http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj231/whiteflight0/new062.jpg
Dominick (blue) and Cadence (decided earlier this year that he doesn't like his feathers). My boys who love eachother more than they really should..

And of course, Aleda. Back when she was a momma! She was Dominick's mate, and when she passed away in January, he latched onto Cadence. This is them together squishing their three sons: Fred, George, and Oscar. My parents own Fred and George, now. Oscar has a great home now too. He's turned into a mini-Oliver.

What a lovely flock you have Kaye.
Lovebirds are such big birds in little bodies. I met several babies last year, they were such little clowns, and feared nothing!

I liked the art work of your birds Becky...very nice!
LadyLynn...Mz. Twiggy and Anna Bird are very pretty birds, they look so nice looking out the window!

These are the latest pictures of my birds....some may have already seen them in the regular picture column but here they are again!:)
First picture should be Pepper and I. Just as well show my ugly mug too! lol
Then Lakia:(Moustatched Parrot) She was a gift from a good friend and tends to featherpick but actually is getting better. I love her very much!
The last one here here should be My GCC Louie as you can easily tell he has an attitude but he is a big momma's baby!

Now we have Sunshine, my yellow Parrakeet that sings just like a Canary!!!!!!
Then my Zebra Finch who lives with Sunshine because he is a bully and tends to pick on other Finches so had to put him in with someone bigger than him lol
Then my Blue Quaker, Spanky and my green Quaker, Oliver....Oliver is a picker, he was when I got him and has never stopped. He has a major attitude though and does not back down from very many things. He is a riot!:)

Oh my gosh Diane what a great photo!!!!! Bob surely has his hands full ....
and I swear....I do see April licking her chops...I DO!!!!! hahahahahahaha
Yes Becky....I have my hands full also. I have thought of a Macaw at one time but I think Pepper will be my main "bigger" bird. Our house is not that big and you get all those cages in here it is a constant cleaning process which I am not so good at either sooooooo. I am looking into the possibility of getting another cat...it is still in the works but if I do I will let everyone know!

Thanks Judy. Believe it or not Taz was actually included in the picture, but my camera ran out of disk space and I didn't get that photo. Jason did and I am waiting for him to share it with me from his camera. Who knows how long that will be. LOL
Bob'a had just received a kiss from Angel so was still puckered up and that is why his face is funny.

dlaura, that is one heck of a capture. You have a great guy, and a great cat! That 'bird in hand' is so cute. Your Angel is looking mighty fine. Just wondering, your Zon's a Bluefront, right? Have you any aggression problems? I've known some that can be quite a handful.

Thanks Becky! That scene just kind of developed and when I saw it I ran for the camera. Yes, I have a great guy.
Well, the blue fronted amazon - JoJo- was a rescue and we've had him just over a year. He isn't in the least agressive and is such a loveable guy. I have come to believe that zons have gotten the same rap as pitbulls. The only time that JoJo is untouchable is when our dog is out. JoJo just loves the dog and will spend the whole time she is out just gazing at her lovingly. It is the funniest thing. If he is in his cage when Amber is out and I pet Amber he will start doing this spinning thing with his head that is just hysterical. I think I have a video of it - I'll look and post it here if I find it.

My cat is the same way with my Amazon and Macaw. It's only my smaller Goffin that I worry about. My other two larger birds will actually chase the cat. lol. Poor cat doesn't even see them as chaseable birds!

Great pictures Diane and cute video. Pepper does the same thing when he is showing off but he gets to turning his his around sometimes I swear he is going to hit it on something lol
Hey....question here....when does Einstein get his time in the lime light instead of Bob's clutches??????? hahahahahahahaha
dlaura
12-27-2007, 08:58 AM
Actually that is where Einstein prefers to be. He will let Bob know when he wants to be picked up by going up to Bob's chin and tapping it - Bob will lift up his hand and Einstein will actually turn around and back up into his hand. Then he will pull Bob's fingers in around him and if they aren't close enough he will nip them to get him to close the fingers more. It is really cute!

I just caught the picture of Taco, Courtney. WOW, that is cool...he looks like Superman or that should be "Superbird" lol Pepper would tear my arm off if I tried that, but I have to remember he was already 9 when I got him so he was very set in his way. And according to Pepper it is his way or no way LOL
That is cute of Einstein, Diane. Louie will let you hold him like that but doesn't actually ask for it. Very cute anyway!

[B]Diane..that picture you posted of the birds all together and the one of Taz with his feathers out...did you do those or did you have them done professionally???? They are gorgeous pictures and Angel looks great!!!!!!!!
Judy, the picture with all the birds together was quite a few years ago when we got them all. Angel hadn't started any plucking yet and they were all very young. That picture was done at the pet store by an amateur photographer that the pet store owner would have come in once a year and do pictures for her customers.
The one of Taz with his wings spread was a professional picture that Jason had done at a shop in the mall.
