Spay Help

My dog was spayed on Monday - so almost a week ago. She was beginning to feel better - still not jumping off the couch and stuff. However, just a few minutes ago she had just a little bleeding from her genitals. It almost looked like regular heat discharge. Is this normal? She took longer than the couple of days to get back to normal. Today was the first day that she would play or run around. I called the vet emergency line but they have not called back yet. I'm wondering if I should be majorly concerned. Again, the discarge is bloody but very minimal...

...does she have trouble urinating? How big is your dog? Was she in heat when she was spayed? Do you know if she had an ovariohysterectomy or just a hysterectomy?

thanks for the response.. she was in heat about 6 weeks before I took her in to get fixed. The vet checked her out today and could not tell that anything was out of the ordinary. She was given some pain meds and some antibotics because she had been licking her sutures a little... i'm going back on Friday to get the sutures out so if she's still bleeding then, then they'll do some further checking...

We had a dog come in that had the same problem, but because it was so minor and wasn't discolored, the doctor said just to let it be and to keep an eye on it. It eventually went away, and she never had any problems with it.. But I don't know why it happened.
