I don't know if anyone has ever heard about Freeway before, so I'll tell you what I know.
Freeway is a ferret currently in the care and keeping of the Utah Critter Sitter Sanctuary.
His story is heart breaking, but hopeful.
I guess, when Freeway was a baby, I believe that was a year ago, a grandmother noticed her grandchildren with a book bag down the hall.
They were taking turns pouncing on it. Grandma in this story went to investigate and found little freeway. He was nearly dead because of these children
He probably should have been put down, but some generous soul paid for surgery. Freeway will never be able to walk and play normally. I believe they had to feed him with a dropper for a while.
At the time, he was in need of little stuffed animals for toys, and a certain kind of cat food, the wet kind, I think either in a purple or pink can.
He had his jaw wired shut.
The sanctuary staff has traveled from Utah to Boise, maybe even further to pick certain necessities, and things to spoil Freeway with.
His companion Rosie, I think if I remember right didn't make it. But Freeway then was in need of a proper family to adopt him and sponsors of course are always welcome.
It's been several months since I've heard any updates on Freeway. but please visit the site, read up on Freeway, and if you can help him in any way,
this ferret will benefit.
Hopefully other ferrets will be just as blessed, but not as needy as him.
