One Special Gift Lost

I walked into work this morning and said good morning to one of the guys in the shop and Bucky came running over to greet me. Then Earl walked in and said "That's the only one you got left Diane" and I looked at him not sure if I heard right and I asked him what happened...........what do you mean? It seems that Goldy ran under the shop door as it was closing and didn't make it. This upsets me so that I am just feeling numb and spiritless. Bucky is laying here on my desk but he is out of sorts and gave me a little scratch when I was petting him. Don't think he understands where his sis is. Goldy was such a snuggly cat - she would come to me every afternoon between 1:30 and 2:00 and snuggle with me during breaktime. I just can't believe it ............. she's gone .......

Thanks Amanda. Poor Bucky is just so lost. He was snuggled up on the old coat I had given them to sleep on in my office. They often snuggled together and would sleep most of the day away there. I swear that while he was sleeping he was smiling and I would bet he was dreaming that Goldy was sleeping there with him.

Ohhhhh I'm so sorry Diane......My heart goes out to you and Bucky. I'm sure Bucky was dreaming of Goldy and maybe even better......maybe her spirit was right beside him telling him she was ok. You are in my prayers.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their condolences. Bucky has slept away the morning on the coat again and dreaming of Goldy again. It is so strange not seeing the two of them snuggled together there.

I appreciate that. This is the first time in my life that I have experienced having two cats (3 counting the black/tan cat) at once and they were never really far away from each other. Reminded me of twins or something.

Earl, the guy who cared for them as kittens out in shop yard says that there is another four or more out back and one of them is their sister. He was not able to gain her trust and get her into shop. Once or twice she did come in a while ago as I wondered why Goldy ran from me and acted like she didn't know me and was told that it was her sister not Goldy. Earl was really upset about Goldy also and is probably thinking twice about bringing another in. At this point the sister is probably set on being an outside cat .............. so I am thinking that this spring she will more then likely have kittens and that will mean a kitten related to Goldy. Maybe even a set that will pair off like Bucky and Goldy did.

This morning Bucky rubbed his head against mine and reached up on top of my head and pulled my hair ---- he never did that before - only Goldy did and I felt kind of like that was a sign that she is OK where ever she is.

Me and Babba is sorry to hear about Goldy.Shes in Heaven now where i know she is very happy.Our pets come from heaven and thats where they return to.
