We need a place to post things that can be cooked for birds like treats and stuff.

That's an excellent idea! That way, we won't have to keep scrolling down through messages to find recipes!

I just ordered muffins from a friend of mine, I will let everyone how they were. They are made for birds and other animals.

I got peanut butter cookies for birds at a bird show i went to. They smelled so good but weren't a hit with my flock.

Allison, does your birds usually like peanut butter? I've heard that it's suppose to be a big hit with birds (and very good for them too) ... but haven't tried giving it to any of my birds yet.

I gave Bijou some yogurt once and he didn't really like it. I gave it to him on a spoon and each time he tasted it, he just shook his head (as if to say he didn't like it) :D

I'll try. Sophie has a honey dipper i bought her from Windy City Parrot and I will try putting peanut butter on for her.

The muffins were a big hit. They had veggies in them and my birds loved them. I think that the person that made them may create a website to sell them and I do highly recommend them.

Glad your birds loved the muffins. I'm forever looking for recipes to try because I want Bijou and Rio to have variety.

The Feeding Frenzy forum has now been added to Parrot.Com.

I added it without adding the first thread... please don't be shy! Create the first thread!

Remember, Peanut Butter has a pretty high fat content so only VERY Small amounts, very infrequently. Mac's and birds that require a higher fat content can probably handle a little more, but be careful.
