I think it was a week ago, maybe two, but someone from the Teton County Sherriff's office in my state, knocked on someone's door one evening, and without saying why, asked to see the family dog.

They should have really questioned why first, but they didn't. This is a community where locals can leave their doors unlocked at night, and their cars too,

but whomever it was shot this dog several times injuring this precious rottwhiler breed. "I saw it on the news." I was so mad.

The person was suspended for it. His excuse was the dog was accused of biting someone.

But that was later retracted.

The bullet wounded this dog under his muzzle on his neck, on the side of the mouth, down a forefront leg, and by one ear from what I could see.

I sure hope they make him pay every red cent of the vet bill, and I also hope they fire him, and ban him from ever owning a fire arm.

I thought that was nervy, uncalled for,

If he could step inside a family home like that, I'm sure he could have blown the whole family away.

Many blessings to the family, and for the dog.

How awful! Firing is not enough as far as I am concerned - maybe he should be made to do some free work for the town or something to make up for this heinous crime. Innocent until proven guilty should also be applied to our pets.
