Baby Boy will be 2 years old on Thanksgiving this year and my problem is, when ever I or dad walk him he always finds used paper towel or used tissue paper and will eat it. He wont spit it out, he eats it:mad: !! It make me so upset cause it's nasty and I'm affraid he's going to get sick. I mean I try to catch it before he does and pull him away, but it's hard too. I mean only GOD KNOWES whats on these tissues, gross!

Depending on the size of your dog, the tissue may not harm him. However, it sounds as if you need to get a few training lessons in. He needs to learn to "leave it"... that is the command I give to my guys.

The leave it command is a great one. So is drop it. No telling what is out there on the ground. I was walking one of my dogs in a field and she found a tissue that had a hypodermic syringe inside. 0.o

"Leave it" and "Drop it" work great with both my boys. It takes time, but as long as you're diligent it will pay off.

Thank you all for the responses, GREATLY appreciated! But one more thing, Baby Boy is going to be 2 Thur. on TG and he's about 55 lbs beagle & aust. shepard. Never had training-I taught him everything threw this website. Some of us dont have between $200 & $300 to pay for classes so all the help you all give is a blessing. I've had him since he was 3 months old. He was great w/potty training, tricks and listening. But he gets his moods. Like I tell him to drop it nicely and most of the time he does, but my jerk of a boyfriend always yells and then he doesn't listen. The cutest thing is when we're playing and if he bites to hard I act like I'm crying and he'll come up to me and give me a hug & a kiss. Yes, he gives hugs and kisses all the time. I think I did a pretty good job raising him, but I wish I could figure away for him to stop pulling outside and choking himself. He always wants to play, not mean at all. The only time he ever really gets mean is when he's put in his cage for punishment, he kind of growles under his breath, like "aww man ma I'm sorry". When he does pull someone on this website told me to stop walking and wait till he makes eye contact and say "be nice" or "no Pull" and that works sometimes but it's all about his mood. My boyfriend will not walk him past the front yard of our complex (lazy!), then he gets mad and yells when he has to take him out again 20 min. later because he didn't give him enough time to do both of his duties. It's not right  ! When I take him at 630am we go for a walk and he does both and then he doesnt bother me untill 1:30pm right before I go to work. So again, I'm not rich and I got him 2 yrs ago and the people were going to bring him to the pound. So I do what I can. But if anyone knowes where to get cheap heartworm meds. that would be great (heartguard). Thanks for all your help everyone..
