Okay, so this guy...probably 20 or so...VERY country...VERY large...big ol' boy...brings in a little Schnauzer named 'Princess'. (I'll give you a second to get the image down...)
I go in the room, and here's the conversation.
"I saw that you declined the Kennel Cough Vaccine." I went through the record...couldn't find anything about her ever getting one, and I noticed that she's four and intact. "You don't ever board or groom her?" She looks like she just came back from the groomers that day. Very clean and cut hair.
"No. Never." He says. I fought really hard to keep a straight face...it was obvious this guy was either intimidated by me or just plain embarassed...he definitely wasn't thinking clearly.
"She also had worms in April. Do you want to test her for that, to make sure they're gone?" He was still confused, and asked what that meant. I explained how we retrieved a sample and what we did to it and what we look for and whatnot, he just got more and more uneasy. He eventually declined the fecal, I think out of pure embarassment.
So, we moved on to the next topic. "I see that she's also four and intact. Are you planning on breeding her?" He said no, so I moved on. "Is she having normal cycles, every month? Nothing out of the ordinary...discharge or behavior or anything?" ...he just about fainted. It was AWESOME.
After I left to get the doctor, who went more into detail about his little Princess' periods and poop...he wouldn't look at either one of us anymore. We were both girls his age, and could definitely tell he was quite embarassed.
