a few days ago consuela started throwing up and has done it 3 times since then. we thought she was eating too fast so we monitored her food intake.
then hera had some crazy skin thing that was scabby and bloody but wasnt ringworm. lucy also had some crazy skin thing.
well today i came home and zeke was rubbing up against me and i look down at my hand and there is what looks like a grain of rice on my hand. so i looked at it for a second and it moved! so i sped down to the vet with the tapeworm in a paper towel.
which means that they have fleas. so everything boils down to those damn fleas. lucy's skin thing and heras skin thing - flea bites. zeke's tapeworm - fleas. consuela throwing up -she was eating zekes poop which had tapeworms in it.
so we just sprayed the bedroom and the living room carpet, couch, bed etc with siphotrol (sp) and put advantage on the back of lucy's neck and gave all 3 cats capstar which we will give again in about 2-3 days just to make sure theyre all dead.
so the past couple weeks have been filled with crazy things happening to my pets and it was all because of a little almost microscopic organism. how much crap is that?
we figured that if lucy had the advantage we didnt need to give the cats program because any fleas that would come in the house would come in on lucy and the advantage would kill it before it could get onto the cats and do anything.
other than that, zekes ringworm is almot gone, consuela's fever from the URI is gone and her eyes/nose looks less runny. hopefully this getting better is a trend.
