I don’t like to point out vicious dog attacks on my blog but this one needs to be highlighted. This wiener dog sounds more vicious than a pit bull…
The owner of an eight-inch sausage dog has been cleared of letting it run out of control in public place. Lucy, a dachshund, was alleged to have bitten neighbour Shawn Anderson outside his flat in Gosforth, Newcastle.
The dog approached Mr Anderson, who lived in the flat below, ran round his legs and, according to him, nipped him on the ankle and bit his jeans.
Did you read that? He was nipped on the ankle! Ouch!
Asked how he felt after the dog attack, he told magistrates: “I was really, really angry. I was more or less inconsolable.”
You know what makes me inconsolable? Seeing how sausage dogs are made.

that is funny, but I do have to say the only dog I ever got bit by, was a dachsund. The dang thing had to jump up to bite me on the hip? Like my hip was threatening? LOL He did break skin tho, and ever since I've really not cared for weiner dogs. My sister got bit on the top lip by a toy poodle she was trying to pet. Knew the dog for years, and one day it decided she couldn't get near it anymore.

Hehe...let's see...I've been bit by poodles, chihuahuas, dachshunds, collies, cats, the list goes on. But, never a rottie, dobie, or pit like people would think.
By the way, I think it's funny you call them "sausage dogs". :D

You know, I haven't either! In this area, Chihuahua's are EVERYWHERE (thanks Paris) and let me tell you how many of THEM I've been bitten by.. Those and Pomeranians I'd have to say.
I do think it's funny how the Pit has such a bad rap, but statistically, the Cocker Spaniel has the most recorded bites.

The most seriouse animal bite I ever had was my neighbors cat. The morning after I moved in here he came over purring and winding around my legs. So forgetting every word I ever told my kids and grandkids about approaching strange animals, I scooped him up to cuddle. His teeth went clear to the bone on either side of my wrist, and for a few seconds I had 20 pounds of tom cat suspended from my arm by 2 teeth. We're friends now, but I never tryto pick him up now. turns out that even his owner can't!
While small dog and cat bites are unpleasant, I can't imagine sueing over one! I've never had a large dog bite me, although I have met a few while walking that let me know if I stopped in front of their yard I was in for trouble.

Hmm, I've been bit by several Doxies, only once did I deserve it ( I slammed a door on his tail! He sort of grabbed my foot).
I've also been bitten by a collie, a shepherd x, huskies, lhasa apso's, shih tzu's, golden retriever, several cats and a budgie!
My rotti got me once. We were playing fetch and he jumped to grab the stick. I was still in motion and my tumb ended up in his mouth. Got right down to the bone. I stood there watching blood pour from my thumb, while he ran in paniced circles sreaming. I actually had to console him! For about a week after he would approach me until he was about two feet away, and then drop to his belly and crawl over to me, and then flip over to show me his belly. I felt so bad for him, I had'nt yelled at him or anything, so I don't know why he was so upset. He was about 8 months old.

Wow, you've all been bitten a lot. Guess I must be really lucky, esp. as I work at a shelter. Or maybe I taste bad. I've only been properly bitten by a lab and a rottie/gsd mix. Oh, and a mental collie cross. Pleanty have tried to bite me, but I have super fast reflexes!

He probably loves you and felt the way you did when you slammed the door on the Doxie. I was a basket case when I closed a door on my granddaughters hand once!
