I just bath my dog and found 3 fleas on her body. I immediately soak her beddings in hot soapy water. So lucky that we vaccum our house this afternoon. I will get my dog Frontline tomorrow to apply.

However, i only found 3 fleas on her body, does that means our house have more that we are unaware of? Will it be okay just to apply Front line for my dog and regularly vaccum our house once a week and bath my dog once a week?

Anyway i think my dog has ear infection and i applying the medication gave by the vet previously and hope that the yellowish dirt from her ears are not cause by the fleas..

So what should i do?

Yes. The fleas you see, make up only 5% of the actual population.

You can apply frontline, but you can't bathe your dog 48 hours before or after applying. Just vacuuming isn't going to help you, because then the fleas are living in your vacuum. You'll need to get some kind of flea killing powder, Adams is amazing. If you're going to bathe your dog once a week, MAKE SURE the shampoo you're using is soap-free.

Probably not. Fleas don't generally do anything to the ears except a hematoma from itching, and that's where the ear fills up with blood.

So there are more fleas that i am unaware of..

I thought using frontline is sufficient.. because it helps to kill any fleas that hop onto my dog which is the main objective of every fleas.

Why i need to use the soap-free shampoo? I thought fleas afraid of hot and soapy water? or i should get those flea shampoo?

Hmm then what flea powder you recommend?

Frontline kills fleas. It does not kill the larvae, pupae, or eggs located within your carpet. Also, not all the fleas in your house are going to be on your dog...and the flea must bite the dog first before dying.

You need a soap free shampoo because using soap shampoon once every week is hard on your dog's skin. Hot soapy water does nothing for fleas except wash them down the drain. I don't recommend any kind of flea shampoo.

I had said earlier that Adams or Zodiac makes an excellent carpet powder. You sprinkle it on your carpet like carpet fresh, and vacuum it up 10 or so minutes later.

i am going to get her front line later ... hope her legs won't get so itchy later on...

...the fleas won't be living on your tile or hardwood. You'll just need to treat the carpeting. :)

When it seems like nothing i spray the natural content spray and i found 9 of the fleas...omg... So i spray her surroundings once again..

Will it be okay if i still hug her as usual...?

I read the frontline q&a and i thought flea will get kill when with contact to my dog's skin but it seems not.. hope this natural content spray helps to eliminate them...

Yes, you can...but I would wait until the stuff dries first. That way you don't get it on your skin.
