Holy cow...she's finally out of the tree. We borrowed a ladder from one of the doctors, and set it up hoping maybe Lightning would jump down as it still was not tall enough for us to reach her.

Now, Charles has never been an animal fan. Chica is the only animal he'll touch, he loves Chica. Anyway, that's beside the point. Point is...he's crazy tall and lanky, so I sent him up the ladder. We're on the second floor balcony, and he's standing on the top rung of the ladder. Lightning slowly walks closer and closer to him...and he scruffs her. He was afraid she'd freak out, so he held her close and slowly came back down the ladder.

He brought her in and we gave her some food. She was starving! She's very, very skinny...poor thing. Her feet are torn up, but not too bad at all. So, the animal disliker has saved the kitty!!

Here she is...happy to be out of the tree, and in the comfort of the house.

Whew!!! Poor kitty...I'm so glad she's down! Isn't it handy to have tall people around? They come in quite handy...I'm 5'7' and I'm the shorty of my siblings!

Chica is! She's laying next to the bathroom door...just listening. :) Thanks for the support everyone, she's definitely glad to be home...but tomorrow when I take her to work, I'll be she'll be wishing she were still in the tree. :)

So glad your kitty is safe and down from that tree.

Now all you have is your coon problem to solve...

Go Charles! At 5ft 1 myself, I have a great appreciation for tall people! I'm glad she's OK, but now you're back to the original problem of how to get rid of the racoons!

I am glad to see this and a big way to go to Charles. He may not love the cats, but clearly he has a heart.

You might want to post an update on the tail end of your cat in a tree thread in the cats forums, too Tiffany, for other slowbies like me! (I was watching for news there)

Charles is definitely the hero of the day. Brought the kitties home from the vet after lunch, keeping Pariah in the house for the week, (she's really not happy about that. Lightning and Fluff are outside enjoying the fresh air and sunshine, but they'll be inside tonite! All in all, it ended well, and David (my SO) is going to be home tonite or tomorrow and we're gonna figure out what to do about the dang raccoon army!
