I agree. I doubt there's all that many quaker breeders in Saudi Arabia, but that still would be much too hard on the baby and I doubt it's even allowed to ship a captive exotic pet from the U.S. to there. Also, that baby quaker has most likely already found a home.

If someone that the bird knows went with the bird and carried it onto the plane, it would be fine as long as that person had the bird with them. I have not had to fly with my birds yet, but I think to them it would be just like a ride in a car. As long as my birds can see me they are perfectly calm. Tweety sleeps in a shirt pocket when I drive and Taz dances to music.

Be careful!!! There are scammers out there! These people send foney bank checks to pay for the animal plus a generous amount for shipping. They send a large amount of foney money to be cashed by the unsuspecting seller to give to a third person. When the bank check or money order is found to be bogus, the SELLER is out ALL of the money given out to them by the bank. This has happened too many times recently. They buyer is always from over seas. It is a way to scam people out of money. A man from my town was scammed out of thousands of dollars recently by one of these scemes. You can check the story by going to www.saljournal.com. Plese verify peoples authenticity before you sell over seas!

SALINA MAN VICTIM OF INTERNET SCHEME
by Todd Pittenger

A Saline County man selling items on the internet has been bilked out of several thousand dollars in an African internet scam. Salina Police say that 52-year-old Robert Fink was ripped off after agreeing to sell $700 worth of farm equipment to a buyer in Africa. The buyer sent Fink a $5,000 international money order, and Fink was to return the difference. After receiving the money order on June 24th, he cashed it at a Salina bank three days later, and then sent $4,300 to an address in Africa. It was discovered several days later that the money order was bogus. This isn't the first Salinan to be ripped off in an internet scam like this, and police urge anyone doing business on-line, particularly with someone in a foreign country, to be cautious. If you are doing business over the internet, and become suspicious, it's wise to contact police before you cash any checks, or send any money.

You and I understand that, but there are people out there that are more trusting than the average person. Unfortunately, many of these people are elderly, and they tend to take people at their word. There have been a few people who have fallen for these scams here in Salina, alone. There have been many articles in the local news about these scam artists, but people tend to think that nothing bad will ever happen to them, so they fall hook line and sinker into the trap.

That is why most people give two weeks for shipping after a check or money order, so in that two weeks time the check or money order can be proven good or bad. After it is proven to not be a scam and only then the product is shipped. I see this shipping policy all of the time. I got a book like that. I used a credit card to pay for it and it took 3 weeks to get to me. According to the label it was sent one week before it arrived. The company selling it waited to have the cash in hand before shipping it.
