No, they look green. I was a GS, too...but yeah...haha, that was some time ago. :D

I always remember the "heart" shape leaves...well, all three have heart shaped leaves!

...wow. I googled. None of those above are poison ivy, and the GS lied to me! These leaves on this picture (http://www.teclabsinc.com/images/PoisonIvy.jpg) ARE NOT heart-shaped...my gawd, I've been lied to...my WHOLE life! :(

So, then...my new question...anyone know what kind of plants those are? They're dominating the back yard...

Did you find out what the plants are dominating your yard?

Tiffers,

The second photo is called Kudzo, it's a nasty ivy plant that will wrap around everything. Need to get rid of those before they take over your yard. I have to deal with them myself. LOL!

The last photo is something I've heard called "pig plants" around here, because they make little tubers that look like piglets. You can crush the leaves and they smell like peppermint.

I couldn't get the pics to open up at first, thought maybe you were asking about the vines that are covering all the trees in the back yard, those are Virginia Creepers, the difference between them and poison ivy is the creeper has 5 leaves while the poison ivy has 3. That's what I was told my whole life, "leaves of 3, let it be" poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac all have 3 leaves, I think.

Those vines on the ground all over the yard, are thorny things. They don't seem to spread very far from their roots, tho.

The middle pic is something we call bine. It is an absolute pain in the butt! I too have a problem with it lol its grows absolutely everywhere all i can suggest is weed killer! We sprayed ours with weed killer and ripped it all out BUT it doesn't take long to grow back unfortunately x

...ehh, I just continue to mow it. We live in the National Forest. If it isn't a random animal invading the yard, it's some annoying little planty/viney thing. ...we've moved it once, probably going to do so again. Just wondering what I shouldn't touch and pull up, but as it turns out...I don't have Poison Ivy back there! :D

yeah, that's what we have growing up over all the trees. That stuff she took pics of is a ground cover, I don't know what they are.
