Hi, my name is Janea. I've been having a problem with my bird lately. She is a cockateil, and lately she seems to have no energy to do anything at all, we even have to help her eat. It began a few days ago, she started to shake and stopped using her legs. We took her to the vet and they said it may be her calcium so they gave her a shot and that didnt help at all. Her performance hasnt changed one bit. If anyone can help me to explain what's wrong with my bird, please let me know. I don't know what is wrong but I think you should take her back to the vet or even a different vet. Good luck....this sounds so pitifull....Let us know how it goes

Hi Janea, was the vet you took her to fairly experienced with birds? Many regular dog/cat vets don't know much when it comes to birds, so like Krazy said you may want to take her to a different vet. What do you feed her? I would think the vet would've force-fed some food to your 'tiel to give her strength...also, did your vet mention running any tests? I would think that'd be the next step. In the meantime, just keep her warm, calm, and fed.
