Macaw Sexual Maturity

To all macaw owners... When do Macaws reach sexual maturity on average? My Military is starting to get very aggressive toward my family and becoming more...how shall I say...Headstrong. He just turned 5 years old in March and I thought that was too early for a Macaw.

Any help would be appreciated.

Your family is being tested. The more they back away from the bird and tolerate being harassed, the lower they go in the pecking order.
