My gf's dog fell

One of the chihuahuas of my girlfriend fell off from the second floor, and she immediately took him to a vet. The vet told her that he would survive, and he has done so far. This happened about 4 days ago. My girlfriend told me yesterday that she has seen her dog sad. Is it possible for the dog to die or get sick after 4 days passed since the incident? The dog looked so well the days after he fell off.

If the little guy has internal damage, yes. Did they take xrays for broken bones or internal bleeding?

Also, it may be something else not even related to the fall. Take him back to the vet and get him checked out.
