I have a question for anyone. :) I have had a cat for about 8 years and then adopted another one. Now that they are both full grown, the younger one keeps attacking the older one and not in a playful manner! I've had to separate them and would welcome any advice. I'm afraid the older one is going to get hurt. Thanks!

You'll need to let them establish a pecking order...a who's who among the house, kind of thing. If not, they'll always continue to hate each other. Don't seperate them, just spectate them when they're together. They'll need to interact and get to know each other if you plan to have them live together.

Thanks for the reply. I actually looked up the term "pecking order". I see what they're trying to do now, but I wish they would get on with it. How long do you think until the younger cat will quit attacking?

It's funny that my dog gets along splendidly with both cats. But, he's a dog, so they don't care about him. :D

...it just depends on the cat and how stubborn or smart they are, really. :)
