My 8 month old Yorkie started pooping in the house after we got a new puppy. He has never pooped in the house until now. This morning he crawled up on the couch and pooped on the back of it right behind our heads. How do I stop this? At the time no one was even paying any attention to the new puppy he was sleeping.

Uhhhh, shoot him? No just kidding. I don't have a whole lot of suggestions unless there is something wrong medically.:)

...he's probably upset that there's a new puppy. He's only a puppy himself, and so he's very clingy and very, very jealous. You'll have to find time for the two of them.

On a health issue note: Is it bloody? Is it diarrhea? Is it only inappropriate defecating or is it urination as well?

No there isn't anything wrong with him. His poop was normal he just threw a fit. I have been spending time with him and only him as we are crate training the puppy. Does anyone know if these "fits" will last long?

...most likely until the puppy and the new puppy learn to like each other and learn that they are loved equally.

Well I hope he stops soon because this morning he hiked his leg on my foot because I was doing school work and not paying any attention to him. I really wanted to kill him at that point.

If he's not altered yet, he's right at that marking stage.

Well he had started doing that outside but what can I do when he does it inside? I mean he can not go around marking everything inside the house.

...training him. My mother has a Lhasa Tzu that sometimes marks, we shout a firm no, and he drops his leg, tucks his tail, and runs. :) You can also have him neutered, it'll help some.
